Choose the injection pump that matches the material

A pump should be selected after the repair objective and injection material are known. Single-component pumps such as the SU-999 injection pump are practical for compatible polyurethane and epoxy materials where controlled flow and job-site portability matter. Two-component pumps are designed for materials that must be metered at a defined ratio. Always confirm resin ratio, viscosity, pot life, moisture condition, and cleaning procedure before choosing equipment.

  • Dry, stable cracks requiring internal bonding: begin with the epoxy system specified for the repair.
  • Wet cracks and active water leaks: compatible polyurethane injection is commonly selected for water control.
  • Two-component materials: match the pump ratio to the material manufacturer's technical data.
  • Void filling or slab lifting: confirm output volume, material reaction profile, and hose compatibility.

Build the complete crack injection system

The pump is only one part of a successful repair. Use correctly sized mechanical injection packers, compatible couplers and hoses, a clean drill pattern, and controlled pressure. Begin at low pressure and monitor material travel, adjacent ports, and concrete condition throughout the injection.

What is the difference between an epoxy injection pump and a polyurethane injection pump?

The material system and repair objective determine the equipment requirements, not the name alone. Epoxy is commonly specified for bonding suitable stable cracks; polyurethane systems are commonly used for leak sealing. Some pumps handle both compatible materials, but seals, valves, mixing ratio, pot life and cleaning must be checked for each formulation.

Can a two-component epoxy or polyurethane pump inject acrylic gel?

Not automatically. Low viscosity alone does not make a hopper-fed pump unable to build pressure. Suitability depends on feeding architecture, sealing, check valves, accurate metering and compatibility with rapid gel formation. DA-999 uses suction feeding; DN-999 remains a two-component hopper-fed pump. Confirm the complete system with the material and equipment suppliers.

What is curtain injection?

Curtain injection forms a waterproofing barrier behind a structure by injecting suitable material into surrounding voids or soil. Low-viscosity acrylic/acrylate gels are used for this application. Ground conditions, gel time, component mixing and the injection layout require project-specific assessment.

How should injection pumps be cleaned?

Follow the specific resin manufacturer's instructions and Adoration's maintenance requirements for the pump. Water-based acrylic gel systems commonly require prompt water-based cleaning. Epoxy and polyurethane systems require compatible cleaners. No solvent, water flush or storage oil is a universal treatment for every resin and pump.
